Securing your booking

 

First step is to check my availability. To fully commit to each wedding cake and maintain exceptional standard, I only take a limited number of bookings each year and dates can fill up quickly.

A £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and booking. We can discuss design ideas at this stage but will finalise your design closer to your wedding date as ideas can change a lot over the course of planning your wedding.

 

Tasting and Design

 

To discuss ideas about your special cake, flavours, fillings and decoration and to taste samples, I will be pleased to arrange a consultation at my address in Walton, Wakefield.

Your tasting is complimentary if you’ve secured your date, or £25 for two people which will be deducted from your deposit should you decide to book with me.

 If you are not local, you may order a luxurious tasting box including six flavours in the post. We can hold our consultations via video call to discuss your design. During the consultation we will talk about your wedding details, the venue, styling, where and how your cake will be presented and any ideas you have. Before the consultation I recommend collecting images and ideas for inspiration including colours, patterns, materials, textures, flowers…

 Once your design is confirmed I will send your booking form and invoice confirming all the details. Full payment will be required two weeks before your wedding date and is non- refundable.

 

Portions and Prices

 

I understand how important it is to keep to your budget when planning a wedding. As every wedding cake is bespoke in terms of decorations, size and complexity, prices can vary greatly.

Final touches and delivery

 

I will be liaising with your florist, stylist and venue, and putting things in place for the making of your wedding cake. A few weeks before your wedding date, I will be in touch to run through the details to confirm the design and flavours, timings and to make sure everything is correct. After that all you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your wedding day and a slice of amazing cake!

Cake Stands

 

To really showcase your wedding cake at the venue I have a range of cake stands available for hire. There is a small fee of £15 plus a holding deposit depending on the replacement value of the cake stand which will be returned to you once I receive the stand back in the condition in which it was hired to you. If there are signs of damage or of the stand being in unfit condition, I reserve the right to retain the full deposit to cover the cost of replacement. The stand must be returned to me in Wakefield in five days.
